We, at GELADI, aware of the destructive effects of plastic waste discharged into planetary waters, a problem with a major impact on environmental pollution, have decided to use a textile material made of 50% recycled polyester fibers for the OCEAN’S DREAM mattress, which contributes to the conservation of natural resources and maintaining a less polluted aquatic ecosystem.
The textile material contains a special fiber, obtained by recycling plastic waste, largely recovered from the aquatic environment. From this fiber, leading manufacturers in the textile industry have created dedicated materials for mattress covers, which, in addition to a comfortable and restful sleep, also give people the satisfaction of making an important contribution to environmental protection!
More durable and environmentally friendly than virgin polyester fiber. The fiber obtained by recycling plastic waste has the same characteristics as virgin fiber such as: elasticity, wear resistance, moisture absorption and color durability.
In addition, recycled fiber is much more durable and environmentally friendly than virgin polyester fiber.
The OCEAN’S DREAM mattress can be used on both sides: summer + winter, having the same degree of comfort due to the integrated MEMORY SOFT TOUCH foam topper. Both sides are quilted with natural seasonal materials, such as: cotton for the summer side and wool for the winter side.
The core of the OCEAN’S DREAM mattress is made with Pocket-Spring technology (individually wrapped springs), an advantage that substantially contributes to maintaining the health of your body.
The mattress must be placed on a flat and continuous surface. We recommend a flexible slatted base only if the distance between the slats is no more than 5 cm.
